SLIDESHOW: Boys & Girls Club of MetroWest Cooking Up Treats at The Pantry

Pantry Executive Chef Alastair Mclean helped the kids make fun treats, including Dragon Breath Brownies.

About 10 children from the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest in Framingham visited The Pantry restaurant at The Verve in Natick to make Halloween treats alongside Executive Chef Alastair McLean, last week.

Upon arrival, the kids donned their own chef hats and spent the afternoon decorating cookies and brownies with fun-colored icings, gummy worms, chocolate skeletons and black and orange sprinkles.

Adding an spooky element to the affair were Chef McLean’s special “Dragon Breath Brownies,” which released a puff of “smoke” when the children bit into them as well as a tasty purple potion.
