Spicer: Avoid Large Labor Day Gatherings Amid Coronavirus Rise
Framingham Mayor Yvonne Spicer released a video ahead of the holiday weekend advising residents how to avoid spreading the virus.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Mayor Yvonne Spicer is out with a message for Framingham residents ahead of the long holiday weekend: do your part to avoid spreading and contracting coronavirus.
Spicer's message comes amid a serious rise in cases in Framingham. On Wednesday, the state reaffirmed the city's status as a red "high risk" community. For that reason, residents need to wear masks, wash their hands and avoid big gatherings this weekend, Spicer said.
"Please, do your part this Labor Day weekend to avoid large gatherings and parties," she says.
