State Coronavirus Testing Site Is Back In Framingham
A state-sponsored site closed on Monday, but Framingham will open a new site by Thursday, officials said.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The sole state-sponsored free coronavirus testing site in the region closed in Framingham on Monday, but city officials say they will have a new one up and running by Thursday.
The drive-up COVID-19 testing site at a Framingham State University lot along Maple Street had to close this week because students are returning to classes. In its place, a walk-up site will open at St. Tarcisius Parish on Thursday.
St. Tarcisius, 563 Waverly St., was previously used as a state-sponsored testing site, but it shut down this spring as cases declined. Months later, the Delta variant has emerged in Massachusetts, driving cases back to levels not seen since May.
