FRAMINGHAM, MA — State and local police and firefighters will be available this weekend in Framingham to give local drivers a lesson in car seat safety.

During the Saturday event, public safety officials will show drivers how to properly install the seats, and how to seat children in them. They will also be able to determine if a car seat is subject to a recall.

"Officers and troopers will also educate families about car seat safety, whether their specific car seat may have been recalled, and whether the car seat they have is the right for age and weight of their child," state police said in a news release.
