Steven D. Trask To Be Sworn In As Framingham's New Police Chief
Steven D. Trask is set to be sworn in as Framingham's seventh Chief of Police.

After 32 years in the Framingham Police Department, Steven D. Trask will be sworn in as the city's seventh chief of police on Dec. 17. Trask began his career as a patrol officer and worked his way up to deputy chief. He became acting chief after his appointment by Mayor Yvonne Spicer when the previous chief, Ken Ferguson, retired in April.
The swearing-in ceremony will be held at Nevins Hall in the Memorial Building at 11 a.m. The ceremony is open to the public.
In a press release, Trask said, “I am honored to be the City’s new Police Chief. I have strong ties to Framingham, and those who reside here are of the upmost importance to me. Walking through the doors of the station every day, I have the responsibility to lead the fine men and women of the Framingham Police Department and protect the City that means so much to me.; it is a privilege that I don’t take lightly.”
