Suspect Fired Gun Into Framingham State Residence Hall: FSU Police

FRAMINGHAM, MA — An investigation has begun after video confirmed that a suspect fired a bullet gun into the side of a Framingham State University residence hall.

Framingham State University police officials confirmed that a gunshot was fired into the side of West Hall around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Police were made aware of the matter after two students found a bullet casing in the Maynard Road parking lot on Friday.

In a safety bulletin, police said "the incident appears related to a physical altercation involving a group of suspects that occurred around the same time." The investigation is trying to determine whether the shot was fired at anyone, but do believe it to be an "isolated incident."
