Vote White-Harvey For Library Trustee: Letter

In a letter, Sarah Combes describes her support of Library Trustee candidate Leslie White-Harvey.

(Neal McNamara/Patch)

The following is a letter to the editor and does not reflect the views of Framingham Patch.

I have never met anyone else who brings as much energy and enthusiasm to volunteering in her community as Leslie White Harvey. For years, she has worked tirelessly to improve the education and wellbeing of children in Framingham through tutoring at and serving on the board of Hoops and Homework, helping build playgrounds, encouraging runners of all ages at the Greater Framingham Running Club’s Summer Track series, advocating for the new Fuller Middle School, and running six Boston Marathons to raise a total of over twenty thousand dollars for the Framingham Boys and Girls Club, Hoops and Homework, and Resiliency for Life. She also has extensive experience with community outreach to adults through her role on the Framingham Cultural Council and as Vice President of the Board of Downtown Framingham, Inc., where she has built relationships with many local Framingham businesses and helped connect people within the neighborhoods of Framingham’s Southside. The Library Board of Trustees already recognized her value to the community last year when they invited her to serve on the search committee for the new library director, and with her as a trustee, they will continue to benefit from her unique experience and ability to build connections between the library and the diverse community it serves.

Please vote for Leslie White Harvey for Framingham Library Trustee.
