FRAMINGHAM, MA — U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren's presidential campaign on Tuesday released a long list of Massachusetts elected officials who have endorsed her, including many local and state elected officials in the MetroWest area.

This comes as presidential rival U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders makes a play for Massachusetts on Super Tuesday — he's holding rallies in Springfield and Boston on Friday and Saturday, and his campaign is hosting a four-day "Berniepalooza" event in Worcester starting Friday. Sanders' campaign has identified Worcester County as strategically important to winning a share of the state's 114 delegates.

Sanders lost the Massachusetts primary in 2016 to Hillary Clinton. He carried Worcester County that year, but Clinton won in Norfolk and Middlesex counties. Warren did not endorse either candidate ahead of the 2016 Massachusetts primary.
