FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham continues to be a hot spot for coronavirus, and so state workers will fan out across the city this weekend to talk to residents about how to stay safe from the virus.
Framingham reported 135 new cases on Friday, plus one new death. Framingham also remains on the state's list of high-risk communities, according to figures released Thursday.
Framingham was adding about 63.5 new cases per day per 100,000 people in recent weeks, and positive tests citywide hit 7.37 percent, according to the state. Framingham needs to be below 10 new cases per day and below a 4 percent positive test rate to come off the high-risk list.
