Wilfred Agbenyikey Earns Doctoral Degree at Umass Lowell

UMass Lowell graduates were recognized for their academic achievements at the university’s Commencement ceremonies.
The following local graduates were honored:
Wilfred Agbenyikey of Framingham, who earned a doctoral degree in work environment, received the Lorin E. Kerr Award from the Department of Work Environment.

Michael DeRosa of Framingham, who earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, received the Chemical Engineering Department Service Award from the Department of Chemical Engineering.
UMass Lowell’s Commencement ceremonies honoring the 3,478 members of the Class of 2014 were held May 17 at the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell. For the seventh year in a row, a record number received diplomas. Commencement speakers included Bill Nye “the Science Guy” and Howard Koh, assistant secretary for health of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
