Gallery Talk on Friday, October 23, from 4–6 p.m. at the Cultural Center at Rocky Neck on Wonson Street. You’ll hear directly about their creative processes, ask questions, and explore work from 74 Rocky Neck Art Colony members showcasing the neighborhood’s vibrant arts scene.

Cape Ann Transportation Authority launches new website (thelocalnews.news) — Gloucester riders can now use Cape Ann Transportation Authority’s new mobile-friendly website to check routes, schedules, and senior transit options, with most CATA services remaining fare-free through the end of 2027. The site centralizes bus information for Gloucester and neighboring Cape Ann communities, making it easier to plan medical trips, commutes, and car‑free days around the region.
   

3. Gloucester snaps three-game skid with comeback win over Medford Tech (nj.com subscription) — Gloucester fans saw their team snap a three-game skid with a 3–2 home win over Medford Tech, highlighted by goals from Jada Norquist, Bailey Schoenfeldt, and Abigail Borer. Strong goaltending from Sameena Bashir and a 22–10 shot advantage helped Gloucester improve to 9–7–1 in a tight, late‑game finish.
   

4. Restoring Massachusetts Shores, One Oyster at a Time (modernluxury.com) — Gloucester is one of several coastal communities hosting oyster-growing upwellers for the Massachusetts Oyster Project, which raises about 350,000 oysters to clean water and protect shorelines. The nonprofit partners with restaurants and resorts to recycle shells and build reefs, tying local dining, tourism, and conservation together along the Massachusetts coast.
