As part of our Technology on The Horizon series, step right up for a fast-paced, 75-minute peek behind the curtain into the illusionary world of circus music with composer, accordionist, and Berklee film scoring associate professor Peter Bufano. 
Discover how cutting-edge music tech keeps pace with high-flying physical performance. Tracing the evolution of circus soundscapes from the traditional acoustic brass of Ringling Bros. and Barnum &amp; Bailey to the contemporary electronic scores of Cirque du Soleil and The 7 Fingers, this multimedia presentation unpacks the unique modular structures required to score unpredictable live acts. Through score analysis, video footage, audio stems, and live demonstrations using Ableton Live, Bufano will break down how modern show drivers utilize Session View vs. Arrange View, scene launching, dummy clips, and custom follow functions to ensure the soundtrack seamlessly tracks every move on stage in real time.

"A Band Of Brothers" isn't just an Allman Brothers tribute band; they're a powerhouse, uniting the top-tier talent of the East Coast. The brainchild of ace Boston guitarists Ryan Taylor and Johnny Trama, this collective, more than a mere homage, harness the Allman Brothers tradition as a vehicle to bring a unique and exciting experience every night. The ensemble features artists from an array of bands including - North Mississippi Allstars ,Dickey Betts and Great Southern, Pink Talking Fish, Neighbor, Dub Apocalypse, Peter Wolf's Midnight Travelers, Dickey Betts Great Southern, Slightly Stoopid, Sonya Rae Taylor, Band of Killers and more. Matt Zeiner&nbsp;began his professional music career touring with Matt "Guitar" Murphy, who exposed him to a fusion of blues and jazz. His career took a significant turn in 2000 when Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers Band recruited him as a keyboardist and vocalist, leading to a fruitful collaboration and tour. Ryan Taylor&nbsp;on slide guitar spearheads the band with his exceptional talents. His journey, steeped in the rich musical traditions of Austin and Nashville, saw Ryan honing his craft the old-fashioned way. Johnny Trama&nbsp;on guitar conjures up riffs and rhythms that speak volumes. His journey through the realms of rock, soul, and blues, playing with icons like Bettye LaVette and Jesse Dee, has armed him with a mystical musical prowess. Jesse Williams&nbsp;on bass is an alchemist of groove, spinning each note into a rhythmic tapestry. His Grammy-nominated escapades with the likes of Duke Robillard and Joe Louis Walker have endowed him with a bass prowess that's both fluid and formidable. Tom Arey&nbsp;behind the drums is nothing short of a powerhouse, orchestrating beats and fills with the finesse of a seasoned composer. His tenure with Peter Wolf’s Midnight Travelers has honed a style that's explosive yet eloquent, much like the Allmans' own percussive legends. Brendan Tommaney&nbsp;on percussion is a true artist, painting rhythms with a palette of beats and textures. Educated at the New England Conservatory of Music and seasoned with groups like Pink Talking Fish, Tommaney brings a jazz-infused sensibility that adds depth and dimension to the band's sound. Paul Wolstencroft&nbsp;on keyboards crafts melodies that mesmerize and transport. His tenure with Slightly Stoopid has given him a swagger that shines through each performance, weaving a spell of harmonies and counter-melodies that elevate the band's tribute from mere replication to a reimagined homage.

Besides headlining A-List comedy clubs for almost forty years, Paul has also opened for over sixty internationally known recording acts including Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Tom Jones, Tony Bennett, The Beach Boys, Chicago, The Four Tops, The Temptations, The Doobie Brothers, Jerry Lee Lewis, Lyle Lovett, and George Carlin, and has performed in many famed entertainment venues ranging from the legendary Friar's Club and the main ballroom of New York City's Waldorf Astoria, to the main showroom at Harrah's Casino and Caesar's Palace.
Paul co-starred in the popular stand-up comedy movie The Godfathers of Comedy on Showtime, and is also the author of six hilarious books that have won numerous literary awards.

Riverside Square Dance Club is offering an opportunity to try the fun of square dancing; no special shoes, clothing or partner required.Square dancing - you may have had to try it when you were a young student and said 'never again' but like most things over the years, square dancing is very different now. For one&nbsp;thing, folks dance to all kinds of music. If you think dancers have to wear a certain kind of clothing, that too has changed.
The music in up to date and the dress is casual. What remains the same is it is still an inexpensive activity that offers great social interaction and mental and physical exercise.

Bring Your Friends to a Fun Free Introduction to Modern Square Dancing

Tanya Donelly first emerged in the indie-rock landscape in the early 1980s, co-founding&nbsp;Throwing Muses&nbsp;(with stepsister Kristin Hersh), then later co-forming&nbsp;The Breeders, before leading her own band&nbsp;Belly&nbsp;in the 1990s. With&nbsp;Belly&nbsp;she had her biggest commercial breakthrough, notably with the single&nbsp;“Feed the Tree”, earning critical acclaim and a Grammy nomination.&nbsp;
After that success, Tanya embarked on a solo career marked by lyrical richness, melodic innovation, and a shifting musical palette that embraces folk, country, ambient, and indie pop textures. Her solo debut,&nbsp;Lovesongs for Underdogs&nbsp;(1997), established her distinct songwriting voice outside of her band projects.
This Hungry Life&nbsp;(originally released in 2006) is a live album recorded in a unique intimate setting — a closed hotel in Bellows Falls, Vermont — featuring largely new material, plus a few covers and re-imagined tracks. The album reflects maturity in both voice and subject matter: themes of home, family, identity, and the passage of time are woven through in her warm vocals and intimate performance style, with the live setting giving the songs immediacy and connection.&nbsp;
Marking the 20th anniversary of&nbsp;This Hungry Life&nbsp;offers a chance to revisit her work at this pivotal moment: affirming her legacy in indie rock; celebrating her evolution as an artist who has never stopped refining her craft; and presenting&nbsp;This Hungry Life&nbsp;not just as a document of a live show but as a milestone in her ongoing journey — both musically and personally.
