Overdose Awareness Vigil Planned At Grafton Town Common

Community members will gather later this month for an evening focused on remembrance, recovery and support.

GRAFTON, MA — Community members will gather later this month for an evening focused on remembrance, recovery and support.

An International Overdose Awareness Vigil will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, on the Grafton Town Common. The event will honor people who have died from overdoses, support those still struggling with addiction and recognize individuals and families in recovery, according to the Grafton Police Department.

The vigil will include space for attendees to reflect, share and connect. Resource tables and community organizations will also be available, along with information about Narcan and harm reduction.

Music will be part of the event, which is being presented by Guided Addiction Recovery Points.

The vigil is open to all community members. Families, friends and neighbors are invited to attend.
