Grafton High School Welcomes 2 New Math Teachers

GRAFTON, MA — Grafton High School is adding two educators with experience in and out of the classroom to its mathematics department.

Nicole Silenok and Camille Gallagher will join the school as math teachers, according to introductions shared by Grafton High School. Silenok is beginning her 13th year of teaching while Gallagher is entering her third.

Silenok earned a degree in mathematics secondary education from the University of Hartford, where she played Division I soccer. She began her career at the University High School of Science and Engineering in Hartford, Connecticut, teaching Algebra 1 Honors, Geometry and Data Honors and College Ready Math.

She also spent six years as head coach of the boys varsity soccer team, leading the program to two conference championships and several state tournament appearances. As an assistant varsity softball coach, she helped the team win two conference titles.

Silenok said she is passionate about building relationships with students and creating a positive, engaging classroom. She hopes to support Grafton High School sporting events, clubs and other extracurricular activities.

Gallagher earned degrees in mathematics and secondary education from Saint Michael's College. She received a master's degree in secondary education from Providence College in May.

She previously taught Algebra I and precalculus for two years at Bishop Feehan High School. Gallagher said she enjoys showing students different methods to understand mathematical concepts.

Outside the classroom, Silenok enjoys going to the gym and spending time outdoors with her mini Goldendoodle, Luna. Gallagher enjoys walking, spin classes, ultimate frisbee and traveling. She has visited 47 states.
