Apple Tree Arts presents the dramatic talents of its middle and high school students in an adaption of the classic Frances Hodges Burnett 1905 novel. The play is about Sara, a wealthy young girl who is living at a boarding school in London while her father works in India. He dies and his fortune is lost.
Sara is left penniless and alone in the world. The headmistress treats her terribly and forces her to work for room and board. Luckily a next door gentleman from India helps her with gifts of food, clothing and books. Finally her fortune improves and she is saved from servitude by another neighbor, Mr. Carrisford.
Tickets will be sold at the door.
