Imagine putting on a pair of headphones, closing your eyes, leaving the outside world behind and giving yourself permission to simply breathe. 9D Breathwork is an immersive breathwork experience that combines intentional breathing techniques with a carefully designed soundscape delivered through headphones. Depending on the journey, the experience may incorporate guided coaching, visualization, hypnotic-style suggestions, binaural audio and other sound-based techniques designed to create a deeply immersive environment for self-exploration and reflection. But you don't need to understand all of the technology to experience it. You simply need to show up and breathe. Each journey is different. Some are designed around themes such as letting go, stress and anxiety, self-worth, reconnecting with yourself, emotional release or deep relaxation. And every person's experience is uniquely their own. You may feel emotional. You may feel peaceful. You may gain a new perspective. You may laugh, cry, reflect—or simply enjoy giving yourself permission to disconnect from everything else for a little while. There is no "right" way to experience a journey. At Take a Breath, my role is to create a welcoming and supportive environment, guide you through the experience, and give you the space to discover what your own journey has to offer. The Chambersingers perform unaccompanied madrigals and motets from all periods as well as Broadway show tunes and vocal Jazz standards. Organized in 1989 by Director Robert Eaton as a civic outreach program in the greater Worcester area, the Chambersingers provide entertainment for a variety of audiences. They are annual performers at venues such as the Nashoba Valley Winery, Tower Hill Botanic Gardens and First Night Worcester. Our own Music Director, Eileen Lloyd, is a member of this group.
