Pizzazz

Shake off the winter blues at Pizzaz, Apple Tree Arts fun family night featuring children's musican/puppeteer Kim Webster. Pizza and dessert included.

Everyone will enjoy Mr. Kim's lively repetorie of original songs, magic tricks and storytelling. Children will love to dance, jump and clap when they hear their favorite songs like "There is a Dinosaur," "Redstar, Redstar Where are You?" and "The Pop Corn Song." Mr. Kim's enchanting vocals and guitar playing memorize young children.

A recording artist, Mr. Kim teachs early childhood music education in the community music and theatre school's outreach program to area preschools and day care centers. He also is a volunteer for Birthday Wishes, a nonprofit group that provides birthday parties to homeless children.

Faculty member and Trombonist Russell Jewell will provide the audience with an introduction to the sounds of two brass instruments – the trumpet and trombone. Mr. Jewell is an accomplished musician who has toured and recorded with Grammy-nominated Either Orchestra and Mighty Sam McClain. He is the co-founder and co-leader of the Pan-American chamber group, Grupo Mamibique.

Founded in 1989, Apple Tree Arts a nonprofit 501 c (3) organization has grown to serve over 1,000 children and adults annually with early childhood music classes, group keyboard lessons, private music and voice instruction, ensembles, theatre arts programs and concerts.
