Rent, scheduled to run from April 10th through the 13th, promises to create a lot of buzz and excitement. This rock opera tells the story of 8 friends, mostly impoverished artists and musicians, living a bohemian lifestyle in New York's East Village. The story centers around the characters' ongoing struggles to survive and create while dealing with the realities of AIDS, prejudice and poverty. The Tony Award winning musical delivers a powerful message about life and love. Many will no doubt be tempted to sing along to the shows popular and familiar show stopper, Seasons of Love. The production is is rated "R" for mature language and content.
Show times are Thursday, 4/10 through Saturday, 4/12 at 7:00pm with a matinee on Sunday, 4/13 at 2:00pm. The cost of admission is $10. There will be a cash 50/50 raffle, the proceeds of which support the Grafton Theatre Scholarship Fund. Please come to support these talented and dedicated actors, vocalists and musicians.
