Lydian DeVere and Todd Yard of South Grafton are starring in a Fiftieth
Anniversary production of Stephen Sondheim's rarely performed musical
"Anyone Can Whistle." The married singer-actors have performed in
high-level community theatre productions from Worcester to Fitchburg to
Boston. This show, however, is the first time they will perform
together in romantic scenes and duets. Lydian plays Fay
Apple, a role originated on Broadway by Lee Remick, and Todd plays the role of
J. Bowden Hapgood, originated by Harry Guardino.
John Leslie of West Boylston is producing and directing this production.
The musical will be presented Thu. June 5, Fri. June 6, Fri. June 13
and Sat. June 14, all performances at 7:30pm. The location is the
Boylston Grange, WB Masonic Hall, 12 Church St. West Boylston. All
tickets are $15.00, although children ten years and under will be
