Children’s Friend’s mission is to improve the lives of children and those who love them. Kick It Up For the Kids 5K Walk & Run
benefits our critical child and family service programs designed to improve family relationships, ensure effective parenting and protection of children, enable those struggling with mental and behavioral problems or grief to reach their full potential, and create within each family an environment where children can grow into healthy, educated and responsible adults.
Our 4th Annual Kick It Up For the Kids will be held at beautiful Elm Park in Worcester. The course is flat and appropriate for all ages and levels of walkers and runners. Our participants will include children to older adults.

The entrance fee is $15. Free t-shirts for anyone who raises $25 or more. T-shirts will be handed out at the race to qualifying participants. Participants will be walking or running a 5K (3.1 mile) course to benefit the programs of Children's Friend, the oldest child and family service agency in central Massachusetts. Founded in 1849, we are celebrating 165 years of service.

Anyone who registers will be entered into a free raffle for a signed Mike Timlin baseball. Former pitcher of the Red Sox, Mike was part of the 2004 and 2007 World Series Champion teams.
Our 5K includes:
· Medals to the 1st and 2nd place overall male and female top runners. First and second place medals for males and females in their age categories of 0-19, 20-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
· Free food samples along the route from Sole Proprietor, Wine Vine, and Wooberry Frozen Yogurt.
· Polar Beverages sponsored water stops and complimentary water at finish line.
· Free fruit at the finish line.
· Free face painting for the kids.
