Bring your toddler and meet moms from the Grafton, Westborough and Shrewsbury areas at the Mommy and Toddler Group held at Perro Shotokan Karate at Grafton Crossing. Kata is a branch of Karate training where students learn pre-arranged, dance-like movements that promote strength, flexibility and well-being, much like ballet movements. Kata techniques can also develop memorization skills and self-defense techniques that can be expanded upon at the age of 5 or 6. Moms and toddlers can train together in the 45 minute Kata Group, and then stay for lunch or coffee at one of the Grafton Crossing eateries. The training sessions are $10 per mommy/toddler pair (moms can bring up to two toddlers for the $10 price), and the first session is free. To reserve a place in the group session, or for more information visit Perro Shotokan Karate.
