This workshop is
designed for newcomers to sewing to learn the FUNdamentals, both by hand and
with a basic sewing machine. Skills will include sewing straight and curved
seams, buttonholes, decorative stitches, embellishments and zippers. Two
machines are available for students to share during every session. (You may
bring in your own machine.) Participants are encouraged to bring ideas and/or
patterns to the first class. Experienced sewers may continue their current
project or use class time to finish one previously set aside. Projects may include,
but are not limited to, pillow covers, table runners, tote bags, basic window
treatments, Christmas stockings, tree skirts and holiday décor. Instructor
