After Hosting National Championship, Local Youth to get Shot at Wiffleball League

Youth from several area towns will take part in a new wiffleball league.

Two years ago, the Golden Stick Wiffleball National Championship came to Patton Park. Now, young local players will have a chance to play in hopes on one day playing in the tournament.

The Hamilton-Wenham Recreation Department, along with the Rec departments in Danvers, Beverly and Salem are coming together to start up a youth wiffle ball league with the Golden Stick Wiffle Ball League, according to the Salem News.  

The league is open to kids 7 to 13 and kids will play others from their own communities leading up to the championship final four games on Sept. 7. 

The top four teams will play each other for the title of 2013 Golden Stick Wiffle League Juniors North Shore champion.
