Agawam Hockey PeeWee A Team Wins Championship

Team members from Hamilton, Wenham, Ipswich, and Beverly

The Agawam Youth Hockey PeeWee A team wrapped up a successful 2014-2015 season by winning the PeeWee East American championship in a 2-1 overtime thriller against the top-seeded Seacoast PeeWee A team. The Chiefs entered the game on a ten-game unbeaten streak and needed every ounce of energy to extend it to eleven games. Drew Dolan scored the game-winner, assisted by Mike Anthony and Peter Gourdeau. Agawam’s first goal was netted by Rowan Silva, assisted by Mike Anthony. Goalie Michael Padellaro made numerous big saves, especially during a big second period push by Seacoast. All season, the blue line was ably manned by defensemen Sam Belliveau, Jack Curtis, Matt Fonzi, and Peter Gourdeau, centers Brendan Alberry and Rowan Silva provided constant two-way pressure, and wingers Michael Anthony, Herbie Collins, Sam Curtis, Drew Dolan, Leo Kagan, and Dylan Williams were outstanding. The team was coached by Mike Anthony with the assistance of Greg Fonzi, Bill Curtis, and Steve Williams.
