Quinn Brady put Agawam on the board in the first on a one-timer from the slot on a feed from Coleman Connors from behind the net. Zack Walles also assisted when he hustled to keep the puck in the offensive zone before finding Connors.

Colby Doane made it 2–0 Chiefs in the second when he snapped a shot from the right circle just inside the left post. McKenzie Walles started the play when she passed to Nate Jones at center ice, who sent in Doane for the score.

The Chiefs' Aidan Clarke scored on a power play in the second to push the lead to 3–0. After the Lady Flames applied some short-handed pressure, Bodin Jobe intercepted a pass in the Chiefs zone and moved the puck to Peter Gillis, who hit Clarke near the Chiefs blue line. Clarke skated along the left boards, stickhandled through the defense and buried a shot from close range.

The two teams battled throughout the third period. Agawam goalie Matthew Cusolito made several key stops to earn the shutout victory for the Chiefs and coaches Chris Connors, Robert Jobe, David Gillis and Rick Clarke.
