Alton C Bynum Recital Series: Triforia Winds

Triforia Winds is a professional woodwind trio whose focus includes advancing the performance of woodwind chamber music, expansion of the repertoire for woodwind trio, and educational outreach. Founded in 2005 as a faculty ensemble for Texas A&M University-Commerce, Triforia Winds served concurrently as the woodwind trio of the Dallas Wind Symphony for social performances, educational concerts, and live radio broadcasts engagements. They held guest residencies and presented concerts and master classes for many music schools, including the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music, Texas A&M University-Commerce, Oklahoma State University, and Messiah College (PA). Festival performances/master classes include FlootFire, Clarinet Solutions and the Dallas Wind Symphony Summer Music Institute. Triforia Winds has performed World, North American and Asian premieres of works by numerous recognized composers, including Ted Hansen, Rodolfo Ledesma, David Gillingham, Catherine McMichael, Biljana Bojinovska-Bojivic, and Eduardo Morales-Caso.

Program will be featuring: Ange Flegier’s Concert Suite, Lamar Stringfield’s Chipmunks, Beethoven’s Variations on the theme “La ci darem la mano”, Eduardo Grau’s Trio de la fiesta mayor, Paul Harvey’s Trio, and Catherine McMichael’s Eclectic Trio.
