Attempted House Break-in Reported in Wenham

The following activity for the Wenham Police and Fire Department comes from the Hamilton-Wenham Emergency Center for Monday, April 8 through Wednesday, April 10.

Monday, April 8

• A verbal warning was issued after a car stop at Bruce Lane and Porter Street at 1:41 a.m.

• The Department of Public Works was called to Water Pumping Station on Pleasant Street at 8:03 a.m.

• A disabled vehicle at Topsfield Road and Burnham Road was assisted at 8:15 a.m.

• A cruiser transport was conducted at a Daniels Road address at 8:27 a.m.

• Assistance was provided at a Gordon College property on Hull Street at 10:07 a.m.

• A fire alarm went off at a Main Street address at 10:52 a.m.

• The Fire Department handled a call on Nicole Avenue at 11:01 a.m.

• A report was written after an attempted home break-in was reported on Maple Street at 12:02 p.m.

• The utility company was notified about hazards at a Fiske Road address at 12:13 p.m.

• A car stop was conducted on Burley Street at 12:32 p.m.

• The Fire Department handled a call on Pleasant Street at 12:54 p.m.

• A verbal warning was issued after a car stop on Maple Street at 1:10 a.m.

• A alarm went off at a Larch Row address at 7:27 p.m.

• Assistance was provided at a Larch Lane address at 8:54 p.m.

• A well-being check was conducted at a William Fairfield Drive address at 9:54 p.m.

Tuesday, April 9

• Suspicious activity was reported in the area of Grapevine and Rubbly roads at 1:29 a.m.

• A car stop was conducted at Cherry Street and William Fairfield Drive at 8:21 a.m.

• A verbal warning was issued after a car stop on Main Street at 8:55 a.m.

• A vehicle was towed after a car stop on Cherry Street at 9:07 a.m.

• A verbal warning was issued after a car stop at Grapevine Road and Essex Street at 10:15 a.m.

• Somebody was taken to the hospital after an ambulance call to the Bennett Center at Gordon College at 12:13 p.m.

• A ticket was issued after a car stop on Main Street at 1:54 p.m.

• Paperwork was served on Burley Street at 5:55 a.m.

• A car stop was conducted on Arbor Street at 9:33 p.m.

• A suspicious person was reported at a Main Street office at 9:53 p.m.

• A suspicious vehicle reported on Parson’s Hill Road at 10:14 p.m. was gone when officers arrived.

• Animal control was called for an animal call on Hull Street at 10:31 p.m.

• Somebody was taken to the hospital after an ambulance call to Larch Lane at 11:31 p.m.

Wednesday, April 10

• A verbal warning was issued after a car stop at Main Street and Great Pond Road at 12:05 a.m.

• An animal call was handled on Hull Street at 5:09 p.m.

• A fire call was handled at an Arbor Street address at 11:01 p.m.

• Assistance was provided at the station at 11:02 a.m.

• A complaint about telephone calls from a Burnham Road address was given to Wenham police at 1:36 p.m.

• A car crash on Route 128 south at 4:24 p.m. was not investigated and was referred to another agency.

• An animal call at 4:50 p.m. on Cherry Street was unfounded.

• A summons was issued after a car stop at Topsfield Road and Burnham Road at 5:21 p.m. A 46-year-old Salem man was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and having none/expired inspection sticker.

• A car stop was conducted on Main Street at 5:27 a.m.

• A car stop was conducted at an unspecified location at 5:42 p.m.

• No police services were needed after a suspicious vehicles was reported at 9:08 p.m. on Cherry Street.
