Boston Storm Players at Glen Urquhart School

Boston Storm Players Come to Glen Urquhart School Saturday, June 4

Four players from Boston Storm, one of four teams in the first professional women’s lacrosse league in the world, will be at Glen Urquhart School in Beverly, MA. on Saturday, June 4. Kara Cannizzaro, Colleen Magarity, Julie Wadland, and Jen Russell will speak, take questions, and sign autographs at the school, from 9:00 - 11:00 AM. They will also provide demonstrations and work with players on various drills and stick skills. Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome.

Boston Storm is part of the United Women's Lacrosse League (UWLX) http://unitedwlax.com/ and was launched by the United Women's Sports, LLC, in collaboration with the Play It Forward Sport Foundation in Boston, MA. This female owned and operated company was formed with the primary objective of establishing women's pro leagues for a variety of sports, thereby creating opportunities for women at all levels of professional sports. The league currently has teams in Baltimore, Boston, Long Island, and Philadelphia.

The event is open to the public and will be held rain or shine at Glen Urquhart School, 74 Hart Street, in Beverly, MA. The admission fee is a $30, which includes a season ticket to all leaugue games. The 2016 league schedule will kick off on May 28, during the Final Four weekend in Pennsylvania. Please refer to the league website for a full game schedule. The inaugural season will run for ten weeks during the summer and culminate in a championship weekend on July 30.
