Charity Rides Offer Challenge and Success

Charity bike rides are a great way to meet people and help others.

Let’s talk about charity rides.

So on my right arm I have a bunch of bracelets. You have no doubt seen people around town with these funny little rubber rings on their wrists. They say things like: Optimism or Team Chuckle or Cycle for Shelter or Live Strong or With God all things are possible. That’s what mine say anyway.

They are on my wrist to remind me of the great people I have met doing charity rides. I am in love. Picture this - wake up before the sun in some cheap hotel near Sturbridge - put on wicked cool bike cloths - take a bus to a huge parking lot - go for a 200 mile bike ride with 5,000 other people. It is one wonderful crazy beautiful three day party. Food, massages, great stories of challenge and success. People lining the route all 200 miles cheering you on and saying “Thank you for riding.”

If that doesn’t simultaneously put a tear in your eye and a smile on your face you ain’t got no heart brother. Sho nuff Love is a good thing. By the way, you don’t have to do a ride 200 miles long. There are great events more in the range of 20-50 miles. Anyway let me name a few you should check out - all of which have web sites with plenty of pictures and contact information. If you have any trouble figuring out any of this or just want to learn more come in to Beverly Cycles and share a cup of Chai tea. So here are just few:
