Chunk of Hamilton Households are Without Power

National Grid reports 52 percent of its Hamilton customers are without power.

Over half of Hamilton lost power at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

According to the National Grid outage map, 1,588 of the town’s 3,074 households were in the cold an dark.

The map also shows that a number of households in Essex, Gloucester and Beverly were also without power. In Essex, in fact, 1,552 of the town’s 1,999 customers were dealing with a power outage.

Wenham is also experiencing a handful of power outages -- 86 of the town’s 1,517 households.

National Grid is estimating power to be restored in all the mentioned towns by 1 a.m., Feb. 16.
