What: Hamilton Wenham Little League Major and Minor League Tryouts

Where:  Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School Gym Please enter through Miles River Middle School Entrance

WhenSaturday, March 31st from 4:30PM -7:30PM

  • Please plan on registering at least one half hour in advance of your respective tryout.
  • o   8 - 9 Year Olds:  4:30PM - 5:30PM

    o   10 Year Olds:  5:30PM - 6:30PM

    o   11 -12 Year Olds:  6:30PM - 7:30PM

    • Players who's Little League age (age as of April 30, 2012) is between  9 -12 and who are not already on a Major League team should attend both tryouts. 
    • If you haven't already registered for Little League but are planning on trying out, please register first  at www.HWLL.org.
    • 11 & 12 year olds who wish to play in the Minor Leagues are welcome to do so as long as their skills to do not pose a safety risk to the other players.
    • 8 year olds who wish to play in the Minors may also tryout, but need to understand that Minor League rosters primary consist of 9, 10 and 11 year olds.
    • 8 year olds are only eligible for the Minors if space is available.
    • 8 year olds not interested in playing in the Minors do not need to try out.
    • 8 year old families should consider the range of ages in the Minor Leagues and the pace of play before trying out.  It is not uncommon for a Minor League pitcher to throw a the ball between 40 - 50 mph and hit balls coming off of bats could range from 50 - 60 mph.
    • 8 year olds who wish to tryout for the Minor League must Inform Len Dolan of their intentions by March 24th at ldolan@hwll.org 
    • Please do not wear cleats to the tryouts
    • Please give yourself enough time to stretch 15 minutes prior to the tryout.
