
Superintendent Michael Harvey will be the featured speaker at the next meeting of the Hamilton Wenham Special Education Parent Advisory Council, October 10 at 6:30 PM at the Miles River Middle School Band Room. Mr. Harvey will discuss his experience and vision regarding special education and it programs within the district. This meetingwill also provide an opportunity to give Mr. Harvey feedback regarding special education services for his Entry Plan which will be presented to the School Committee in December. A question and answer period will follow.
Katherine Harris, Director of Student Services, will also speak following Mr. Harvey’s presentation to discuss the results of the DESE survey last spring regarding parent involvement.
The Hamilton-Wenham SEPAC is open to all parents or guardians of children receiving services for learning,neurological, physical, psychological, emotional or cognitive disabilities, as well as other interested parties. The PAC also advises the school committee and school officials in the planning, development, and evaluation special education programs in the district and offers education, networking and support to parents and guardians of children with learning differences and disabilities.
