'Farmer Andrew' Shares Local Food Expertise

Manager Andrew Rogers shared his expertise on the “local food movement” last week during a roundtable discussion at the .

A sold-out crowd of more than 100 people heard from Rogers plus Chef/Owner Antonio Bettencourt of , CEO/Founder Peter Mikedis of SideKim Foods of Lynn and and Peabody Farmers Market Manager Pam Lombardini.

Rogers spoke about the local food movement and how it affects North Shore communities. He “engaged the crowd in a discussion on the future of local food on the North Shore, in Massachusetts and the country as a whole,” according to the forum organizers. He said that families, restaurants and businesses on the North Shore are increasingly buying their food locally.
