Flash Flood Warning Issued, Flooding is Likely
Heavy rain on Tuesday morning has prompted a flash flood warning to be issued.

A flash flood warning has been issued for Hamilton, Wenham and the surrounding area on Tuesday morning.
The National Weather Service issued the warning at 5:53 a.m. and it runs through 7:45 a.m.
The warning was issued because of heavy rain that was moving from the southeast to northwest across the area this morning.

The “very heavy rain” is forecasted to fall at a rate of one to two inches per hour. Some streams have already begun to flood.
“Those near streams and creeks, or in areas prone to flooding, should move to higher ground immediately,” the weather service said. “Avoid flooded roads; The water may be too deep to allow vehicles to cross safely or the roadway may be undermined.”
