Four Hamilton Firefighters Graduate from Volunteer Firefighting Program

In early June the men completed the state's volunteer firefighting course.

Four men from the Hamilton Fire Department completed their studies and graduated with the 52nd class of Call/Volunteer Firefighter Recruit Training program.

On June 4, 40 graduates celebrated the completion of 240 hours of night and weekend training. Zack Dolan, Scott Macaskill, Justin Mullen and Michael Musticchio were among the graduates.

“The Call/Volunteer Firefighter Recruit Training program is unique in that it delivers a standard recruit training curriculum, meeting national standards, on nights and weekends to accommodate the schedule of firefighters in suburban and rural areas,” according to a press release. “Bringing the training closer to the firefighters often means more firefighters can participate.”
