The Generals girls' lacrosse team left North Reading with a big 14-3 win over Cape Ann League opponent North Reading to open the season on Tuesday afternoon.

The girls’ lacrosse team got its season off to a blazing start on Tuesday with a 14-3 win over .
Emily Gaucher lead the scoring for the Generals with six goals and an assist in North Reading. In the net, goalkeeper Morgan Kimball held the Hornets (0-1) to three goals with an “extremely impressive” 15 saves, according to coach Amanda Chase.
Other Hamilton-Wenham (1-0) scorers included Abby Hughes with five goals and 2 assists and Bailey Grinnell with two goals and an assist. Anna Rourke tallied a goal and Skye Bellenis had an assist.
