Generals Sports Roundup: Golf Falls to One-Loss Masco Team
The golf team lost for just the second time this season and the field hockey team lost by a goal on Tuesday in Generals sports action.
The golf team lost for only the second time this year on Tuesday to a team that is looking like it will end up as this year’s Cape Ann League champion.
Field Hockey:
Triton, 3; Hamilton Wenham, 2.

The Generals field hockey team (2-7-2) lost to Triton at home on Tuesday in a game moved ahead by a day in anticipation of Wednesday’s rainstorm. Both goals were scored by junior Catherine Martin, her second and third of the year. A strong performance also came from Generals senior captain Julia Dolan. Next up for the Generals is Lynnfield on Friday.

Masconomet, 176; Hamilton-Wenham, 168.
The Generals golf team (13-2) lost to Masconomet Regional High School at on Tuesday. It was a close loss to Masco, which has just one loss this season and appears likely headed to be Cape Ann League champions this year. The top Generals golfers were Luke Farley, 40; Jack Keegan, 31; Spencer Bergholtz, 27 and Joe Merrill, 25.
The golf team is next scheduled to face Ipswich at Myopia on Wednesday.
