Trailing 18-6 at halftime, the Hamilton-Wenham C-Team rallied to defeat the Winthrop Vikings 24-22 this past weekend. The Generals controlled the line of scrimmage in the second half behind the offense line of Josh Polese, Morgan Liphardt and Peter Lowrie, allowing quarterback Adam Parady to lead the offense to three second half touchdowns. The Generals backfield of Andrew Riccio and Phillip Durgin each rushed for touchdowns in the second half and it proved to be too much speed and power for the Vikings defense to handle.
On special teams, Daniel Tobin recovered an onside kick that led to a Generals score. On defense, Thomas Lattanzi sacked the Winthrop quarterback late in the game halting a two-point conversation that would have evened the score, preserving a Generals victory.
