Generals Youth Football Wins over North Andover, Marblehead on Sunday
The Generals youth football teams earned two wins on Sunday - the D team over Marblehead and the JVA team over North Andover.

Generals JVA Team Defeats North Andover 36-12
The Hamilton Wenham Generals youth football JVA team defeated North Andover 36-12, on Sunday, Oct. 16. The Generals took an early 14-0 lead on touchdown runs by Zack Wilwerth and Hunter Smith.
The Generals defense, led by Josh Libelo, Mason Craig and Jack Wosepka held the North Andover Knights to six points going into the half. After halftime up 20-6, the Generals offense came out strong, scoring points on runs by Jared Munoz, Alex Winch, and Daniel Parr in the second half.

The offensive line put in a top performance all day, led by Tim McKenna, Griffin Ward and Matt Manfra. The Hamilton-Wenham defense allowed only one additional score on a break away play by the Knights. A 20-yard touchdown pass by quarterback Hans Fotta to Joe Lattanzi in the fourth quarter ended the game on a high note for the Generals.

The Generals youth football D team defense limited the Marblehead offense to two first downs all game to record a shutout on Sunday, Oct. 16. While William Jones and Jake Brainard controlled the outside, Erik Fotta, Colby Cala, Costas Savignano and Harrison Wilson dominated the middle.
Strong running from Patrick Nistl, Colby Cala, Clayton Booma, Peter Goeben and Jake Brainard set up a one yard plunge by Thomas Kain for a 6-0 first half lead. Patrick Nistl broke a long run to finish the scoring. Will Frain, Ben Harres and Michael Rowse were two-way standouts for the Generals and Jackson Sanford, Connor Wosepka and Harrison Wilson contributed solid runs.
