Girls Soccer Falls Just Short of North Final
Hamilton-Wenham fell, 2-0, to Wilmington in the Div. 2 North semifinals on Saturday night in Woburn.
All it took for momentum to shift in Saturday's Div. 2 North semifinal tilt was one loud clang.
Hamilton-Wenham's Emily Gaucher fired a shot off the cross bar, and just 40 seconds later Wilmington countered with a goal to take the lead for good. The No. 6 Lady Wildcats went on to a 2-0 win, eliminating the No. 2 seeded Generals from the postseason.
