Golf Team Finishes 'Middle of the Pack' in State Tournament

The high school golf team finished 19 strokes behind the state champion at the Div. 3 state tournament on Monday.

The boy’s golf team finished 19 strokes back to at the state tournament on Monday.

“We finished in about the middle of the pack,” said Coach Bill Corley after play at Glen Ellen Country Club in Millis.

The golfers ended with a 332, behind winner Westwood at 313. Westwood bested Medfield by going to a tie-breaking fifth scorer. The final team results were not available on Monday night. Check back to Patch for the final team result. The Generals .

The Generals were led by Luke Farley with an 80. Luke Drieze and Ryan Richard each carded an 83 and Tom Conville scored 86.

One of the highlights for the Generals was a hole-in-one for Brian Nicoll during a practice round on the 145-yard 18th hole.

Monday's state tournament was pushed back a week after the rain and snow storm that hit prior to the originally scheduled tournamnet date last Monday.

The Generals qualified for the state tournamnet with , just one stroke out of first place.
