Hamilton House Fire Knocked Down Quickly on Monday Morning

A fire in a house on Forest Street in Hamilton was quickly knocked down on Monday morning, where a firefighters received an injury.

Hamilton firefighters are on scene of a house fire on Forest Street on Monday morning.

The was called to 171 Forest St. at about 11 a.m.

An engine from the Essex Fire Department was called to assist, as was an ambulance from Lyons Ambulance.

A fire on the second floor of the home was knocked down quickly after firefighters from the first engine arrived.

The fire was reported to be in a 1,600 square floor Cape Cod style home near the intersection with Gregory Island Road.

One firefighters was being treated by an ambulance crew for an arm injury.

The Wenham Fire Department was covering the town of Hamilton while their firefighters were tied up.
