Hamilton Man Charged With Assault After Call for Assistance

The following activity for the Hamilton Police and Fire Department comes from the Hamilton-Wenham Emergency Center activity log for Friday, Oct. 11 through Sunday, Oct. 13.

Friday, Oct. 11

  • A 911 hang-up or wrong dial came from a business at the Shoppes at Hamilton Crossing at 9:19 a.m.
  • Assistance was provided on Chebacco Road at 9:35 a.m.
  • Assistance was provided at the Patton estate on Asbury Street at 9:50 a.m.
  • No police services were needed after a car stop at 10:24 a.m. at Asbury and Highland streets.
  • A child seat check was conducted at the station at 10:48 a.m.
  • A fire call was handled at an Echo Cove Road at 11:15 a.m.
  • Directions were given out at 11:55 a.m.
  • A message about a fire-related issued on Bay Road was given to the Fire Department at 12:21 p.m.
  • Assistance was provided at an Autumn Lane address at 12:25 p.m.
  • An alarm activation at the same address where assistance was provided earlier on Autumn Lane was caused by an accidental activation or defective alarm at 12:28 p.m.
  • Assistance was provided on Bay Road at 12:33 p.m.
  • A call for assistance at the Willowdale office building on Willow Street at 4:20 p.m. was referred to another agency.
  • A call for assistance at the station at 4:27 p.m. was referred to another agency.
  • Assistance was provided at a Highland Street address at 4:30 p.m.
  • A firearms identification card was issued at 4:42 p.m.
  • An ambulance was called to a Dentali Road address at 4:50 p.m.
  • A man was arrested after a car stop on Bay Road at 4:55 p.m. Douglas A. Saunders, 48, of 94 Essex St., Beverly was charged with operating a motor vehicle a revoked license as a habitual offender.
  • Assistance was provided on Railroad Avenue at 6:06 p.m.
  • An animal call was handled on Chebacco Road at 7:03 p.m.
  • A verbal warning was issued after a car stop on Bay Road at 8:27 p.m.
  • A 911 hang-up or wrong dial call came from the Blue Peacock building at 8:34 p.m.
  • A verbal warning was issued after a car stop at Highland Street and Sharon Road at 8:56 p.m.
  • Traffic control was conducted on Bay Road at 9:06 p.m.
  • A verbal warning was issued after a car stop at Bay Road and Erin’s Way at 9:20 p.m.
  • A verbal warning was issued after a car stop on Bay Road at 11:05 p.m.
  • A call for assistance from a Martel Road address at 11:15 p.m. ended in the arrest of a man. Ian Z. Wilson, 26, of 16 Martel Road, Hamilton was charged with simple assault and battery.

Saturday, Oct. 12

  • Assistance was provided on Bay Road at 11:40 a.m.
  • A ticket was issued after a car stop on Bay Road at 1:10 p.m.
  • A alarm was activated on Farrington Lane at 1:56 p.m.
  • Directions were given out at 2:21 p.m.
  • Information about a 911 hang-up or wrong dial call at 3:02 p.m. was passed along to regional dispatch.
  • A ticket was issued after a car stop on Bay Road at 4:17 p.m.
  • Information about a fire call at a Bancroft Way address was given out at 4:39 p.m.

  • Suspicious activity was reported in the lobby at 10:11 p.m.
  • Somebody was taken to the hospital at 11:14 p.m. after an ambulance call to the same Railroad Avenue address where there was an ambulance call earlier in the evening.
