Robert Phillips, 62, of 27 Sharon Road, Hamilton, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor and marked lanes violation after allegedly crashing his van into a tree on Bridge Street near Miles River Road.
Phillips was taken by ambulance to were he was treated for unspecified injuries. He was later released on cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Ipswich District Court on March 31. Officer Karen Wallace investigated.
