Hamilton Selectmen Candidate Profile - Shawn Farrell
A series of profiles for candidates running for the Hamilton Board of Selectmen in the April 16, 2015 election.

I am a 12 year resident of Hamilton, a dedicated educator in a north shore high school, an established artist, a proud father of two young boys in Hamilton schools, a loving husband to an active volunteer in our community, and an active participant in town government.
I want to represent you as Hamilton Selectman because I believe in….
· Building our community. I will support healthy growth that maintains our town character and values while allowing Hamilton to thrive.

· Being a voice for all. I will listen to all sides of the issues and ensure that every citizen feels that their voice can be heard so that they become more aware and engaged in town business.
· Fiscal responsibility. I will ensure that we are spending the hard earned money of our citizens wisely and on projects that benefit us all.

· Public Service not Self Service. I will put the best interests of this town and it citizens first.
· Transparency. I will make sure that town business is conducted in an open way that supports citizen engagement.
· Consensus. I will work to elevate the tone of town meetings, working with various groups to find a common ground and successful resolutions.
