Hamilton a Top 10 'Safest Community' in Massachusetts

Hamilton was ranked one of 10 safest small communities in the Bay State.

The personal finance service ValuePenguin ranked Hamilton No. 7 on its survey of the safest Massachusetts communities with 5,000-10,000 residents. Hamilton’s population was 8,122 as of the latest Census.

Hamilton’s statistics included 37 violent crimes and 616 property crimes per 100,000 residents.

The survey of was based on FBI crime data. Here’s the top 10 small cities:

Wenham’s population was too small for the town to be included in these rankings.
