Hamilton Wenham Regional High School Coronavirus Update

The following is a message from Mr. Eric Tracy and Mr. Bryan Menegoni, Hamilton Wenham Regional High School Principal and Vice Principal, respectively.

"As you know, we are dealing with our first COVID-19 issue within the building.

After reviewing the identified close contacts, there are a number of students and staff members that will need to quarantine for the mandatory 14 days. Close contacts to the individual who tested positive have been contacted directly.

We have been functioning with tight staffing levels since the return to school this fall. Because of the additional pressure on staffing levels created by mandatory quarantining, we cannot open the High School until the quarantine period is over.

Students for the HIGH SCHOOL ONLY will shift to remote learning effective tomorrow, Thursday November 5th through Wednesday, November 18th. However, students and staff in specialized special education programs will continue in-person learning at the HS. Your teacher will let you know if you are scheduled to come into the building.

We know how much work you have done to prepare for the next two days so we will continue to use the hybrid schedule tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday. We will inform you by the end of the day Friday what the schedule will be for November 9th through the 18th.

We appreciate the hard work, care for our school community, and patience that you have demonstrated during this challenging time. Please reach out to us if you have any questions."
