Help Acord Stamp Out Hunger on May 9

23rd annual postal food drive to benefit Acord Food Pantry

On Saturday, May 9th the United States Postal Service celebrates the 23rd year of the Stamp Out Hunger Postal Food Drive. Please place non-perishable, unexpired food by your mailbox by 8:00 a.m. that morning and a letter carrier will pick it up. Everything gathered during the food drive will be brought to the Acord Food Pantry in Hamilton to be sorted and stocked by volunteers.

Acord’s most wanted items include canned meat (chicken, shrimp, salmon), cereal, hearty chunky soups, peanut butter, jelly, baked beans, meals in a can (chili, beef stew), healthy snacks, rice and other grains (couscous, pilaf), canned fruit and 100% juice. The food pantry also welcomes donations of gluten free and low sodium items for clients on restricted diets. In addition, clients enjoy receiving coffee, tea, baking mixes, condiments, cooking oil and personal care items. Please check expiration dates as Acord cannot accepted outdated items.
