IMAGE GALLERY: EdFund Trivia Challenge Fun

It was a fun evening at the EdFund's Third Annual Trivia Challenge at the high school on Saturday night.

The Hamilton-Wenham EdFund hosted its on Saturday night in the cafeteria at . The winning team was "Jonny’s Cash Cabbies," made up of Neil Bassom, Tom Connolly, Jonathan Mitchell and Eric Schenker, came out on top in the 13 team field, which included three of last year’s top four teams.

The “Cabbies” score - 228 points through the first three rounds - bested last year’s champs, Menudo, by 19 points.

That sent them into the winner-take-all final round, where they beat “The Grateful Dads” by one point.

The junior champions were “Rocket Power,” led by veterans and , along with Brian Rodgers and Ben Johnson. They ended in fourth place in the first three rounds, actually putting them ahead of eventual runner-ups “The Grateful Dads,” the team on which three of their fathers competed.

Other teams included a first-ever team of middle school students – “The Knights Who Say “Ni,” made up of Will Schmidt, Alex MacLean, Nate Johnson and Jack Leary. There was again a team from and a new team named “Picayune Politicos,” made up of Hamilton Town Manager Michael Lombardo, Hamilton selectman Bill Bowler, Hamilton Board of Selectmen chairman Jeff Scuteri and Wenham Finance Committee Chairman Roger Keubel.

The event was emceed by the Edfund’s Ken Wilson and included musical clips and audio provided by Irv Levy.

The event raised about $1,300 for the EdFund.
