Big Blue hangs on for a 3-2 win Saturday night over the skaters from Hamilton-Wenham and Salem.
The Witches co-operative hockey team, made up of skaters from and Salem, lost to Swampscott 3-2 Saturday night at Salem State.
“We held on, for sure,” Swampscott coach Gino Faia said. “This is a huge rivalry game for these guys, we know how Salem’s going to come out and go right after it.”
It was , which fell to the Witches 5-4 in December after the Witches came back from a 3-0 deficit.

Jesse Wilkins scored both goals for the Witches, set up both times by line mate Zach Holt and Hamilton-Wenham’s Spencer Bergholtz.
“We played pretty well, we had a few chances to tie it up but couldn’t put one home,” Salem coach Brian Adessa said. “The kids always get up to play Swampscott.”

The Witches (1-9-1 in league play, 2-9-1 overall) travel to Everett on Monday for a 4 p.m. game at Allied Veterans Memorial rink.
